Dreams of a solar Amazon, one day at a time
dear friend of kara solar,
The dream of electric river transportation with solar energy has inspired Kara Solar for almost 10 years because we believe it may be one of the keys to saving the planet. That's because roads are one of the principal causes of the massive deforestation and devastating fires occurring here in the Amazon. A transport system powered by locally produced renewable energy could keep roads at bay while propelling local Indigenous economies forward. Can you spare $20 dollars to keep this going? Our needs are modest and the upside is huge. $200 finances the travel for 6 technicians to attend a training. $50 buys a voltmeter tool for an aspiring solar technician, and $500 pays for a new flexible solar panel.
Do you know funders or have technical know-how we should know about? Please let us know.
Onward together towards the solar revolution in the Amazon.
Maketai (thank you in Achuar),
